    The Wizard of Oz Retold

    have seen it twice, once with a group of people who like me have either done the Camino or want to. There is now a consortium of colleges in the US and Canada who have an interdepartmental Transformational Travel Symposium. I got to see the interview with Mr Sheen and Estevez on you tube where the movie was first screened in America at the initial convocation of this symposium. They said that in many respects this was a re-telling of the Wizard of Oz. Martin Sheen is the Dorothy character, and if you see the movie it will soon be clear who is seeking courage, who is seeking a heart (or mend one), and who is seeking their brain. the ashes of Daniel are Toto, ever present in your awareness, yet never speaking. I was profoundly moved. i hope others find it so as well. we all like stories of redemption and re-awakening. I found this to be such a story.
