Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Donald Liebenson
It's not easy being a responsible, reliable engine, as Thomas the Tank Engine and his fellow trains on the Island of Sodor learn in this new-to-video collection. Alec Baldwin conducts himself admirably as the Storyteller, adopting an expert range of character voices and moods. The stories -- "Percy's Chocolate Crunch," "Thomas, Percy and the Squeak," "Gordon Takes a Tumble," "Buffer Bother," "Middle Engine," and "Faulty Whistle" -- teach such invaluable life lessons as "Don't get too big for your buffers," and "How silly it is to ignore 'Go Slow' signs." A music video, "Little Engines," ends this entertaining collection on an upbeat note.
