    Great Movie for Kids

This movie was popular in Canada between 1974 and 1979 and shown with english voice overs on CBC's Peanuts and Popcorn. This recently released version has english subtitles, however, very easy to follow. A entertaining and delightful twist to the ever popular Cinderella story.

    more from this reviewer

    Perfect year round!

I can only agree with what the other reviewers have said; this movie is absolutely charming! Also, to the reviewer asking about the original sound and subtitles: this DVD does have the original sound/dialogue, with English subtitles, but there are no Spanish subtitles. Good luck!

    in German language

it's every year around christmastime 2 or 3 times on German television (in German language). it seems that the video quality of the German broadcast is better than the dvd. I watch it every year and still love it. Bertus / Holland

the best version of Cinderella EVER

This is truly a heart's delight! Kids will love it - girls for obvious reasons, boys because there is a shooting competition and horse riding in it, and adults will love it absolutely!

    Unbelievable!

I can't believe I found this movie on US market! This is one of the best movies of all times! I am sure all Eastern Europe and ex-Soviet Union have been in love with this movie and wonderful Libuse Safrankova since the first release! This is the favorite fairy-tale of all those who have ever seen it! Hope to soon find "The Third Prince" and "The Murmaid" in here, too...

    It's the best!

This was my favorite movie when I was growing up in Czechoslovakia. I missed it every Christmas I spend here - in the US. Finally - it's here on DVD! I just bought a copy. It is a lovely fairy tale, if you buy it - you won't be disappointed!

    Norwegian tradition

Every christmas morning norwegian families get together to see Tri Orisky Pro Popelku, or Tre nøtter til Askepott, as its named in norwegian. Nothing set you in the right christmas mood as this film. Wonderful actors, great music and the best story. Highly recommended! The best alternative to the stressing entertainment of today.

Favorite movie in childhood and now...

I've seen this movie in 70-80x in former Soviet Union. It was my favorite, and I watched it again and again many times. So many years later (I'm 36 years old) I still LOVE this movie, and I truly believe that this movie is one among the best that I've ever seen.
