Even if you have no interest in art, you will be compelled to watch the story of Tim Jenison, inventor and entrepreneur, as he attempts to solve the age old mystery of the genius of Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer. With dedication, perseverance, and scientific methods, Tim decides to paint his own version of Vermeer's "The Music Lesson," having never painted before. Produced and directed by (magicians) Penn and Teller, the film features a masterful score by Hollywood composer Conrad Pope. (Google him) Not to be missed!

The simple concept of Camera Obscura has been a fabled toy for any art enthusiest or student who ever had the privilage of experimenting with this device in grade school. A friend of mine informed me of this DVD, the thought of one man, not an artist attempting to re-create Vermeer's "The Music Lesson" was no simple task. This DVD is both fun and informative and I highly recommend it. Great for any historian or engineer.
