Editorial Reviews

All Movie Guide - Michael Costello
Men dressing in women's clothing has long been an axiom of comedy, and the trio of drag queens in Beeban Kidron's breezy comedy mines that basic fact for all it's worth. The script sends the unlikely queens, played by Wesley Snipes, Patrick Swayze, and John Leguizamo, on a trip across the American heartland, where they encounter a number of people unfamiliar with their lifestyle choice. The comedy takes a fanciful turn, when, after being stranded in a small town in Nebraska, the drag crew, as if by magic, begins to reform the bad manners of the local men and improve the personal lives of some of the women, assimilating with amazing speed. Also fanciful is the film's decision to skirt the issue of the trio's sex lives, which might not have seemed so amusing to some viewers. In general, the three principals are so committed to their roles and queen it up with so much attitude, that it's impossible not to be entertained.

In my opinion, better than Priscilla Queen of the Desert, by far! The humour is amazing and Patrick, John and Wesley show what real talent and real acting is all about!A must-have comedy for all ages!

These men look DAMN good as women. The beginning is awesome. The whole movie just made me laugh. The ending is a surprise. It is the funniest movie and the soundtrack is great also. I don't have a favorite part of the movie because all of it is fabulous.

This is a truly outstanding film. It tackles some pretty tough subjects without getting too involved. I admit, I only picked it up for Patrick Swayze, but after the first ten minutes the characters had me hooked! Though this is reminiscent of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, it definitely holds its own.

This movie is a classic, especially in Gay cinema. This movie is hillarious and still manages to tackle some issues with respect and dignity. It is a clean family movie and should be watched by all

This movie shows the true depth of Patrick Swayze's acting! He is fabulous in this movie; Wesley Snipes and John Leguizamo also do a very good job. This movie is primarily a comedy with some touching moments thrown in. A look at life from a different point of view. Well worth seeing more than once!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this movie!! It is one of my all time favorites and my daughter and I quote lines from it all the time. The characters are great and the actors' performances are phenomenal--especially Patrick Swayze.

If the title weren't bad enough, the premise is just disgusting. The mere idea of Patrick Swayze and Wesley Snipes in drag for an entire movie is ehough to make one ill. I was dragged kicking and screaming to see this and the person who did it will pay for a long time for that misdeed. If you like (or more like are) Jack from Will and Grace, then this is your movie. Regular people, beware.
