I use my travel mat on top of my normal mat. It protects the mat and absorbs any moisture (sweat) It also allows me more time between cleanings of my rubber mat thus prolonging its life.
It is lightweight and folds up in a small bundle that is easy to carry. Maintenance is easy-just throw it in with the rest of your laundry. Do not, however, put it in the dryer. I have had mine for over a year. It's held up quite well considering that I use it at least five times a week. My only complaint would be that it sometimes bunches up a bit while I'm practicing. That being said,I would still recommend it. It is also cheaper than other towel-type mats sold by companies such as Yogi Toes.

It folds up nicely and does not take up a lot of space in your suitcase. The mat does not provide as much cushion as a regular yoga mat, but it does keep you from slipping.

I did not mind the thin feel and it rolls / folds up nicely but my hands would slip until they got sweaty, then it worked well.

The mat is a bit longer than needed but does the job when used on certain surfaces. Doesn't offer real padding but then you do want to feel the earth you are doing yoga or any kind of excercise on. Good choice for yoga people on the go.

I travel quite a lot and I like having the yoga mat with me because hotel room carpets can seem kind of funky. Also, carpet is not the best surface because it is a bit slippery. However, the mat is surprisingly bulky and heavy, and for any trip longer than a couple of days makes the difference between being able to take a carry-on only and having to check a bag. As a result, I find that I generally don't travel with it.

I am a yoga instructor studying out of the city I live. The mat is easy to take along. The studio I take classes in sets their temperature at 85, so the room is very warm This mat keeps my feet from slipping as it has a surface that is like a towel. I place it on top of one of the studio mats, so I have a more comfortable surface when on my knees. It is very easy to keep clean, simply throw in the washing machine! I love my new mat!
