Tremors 2: Aftershocks

Overview

Those nasty worms are back in the sequel Tremors 2: Aftershocks. The film is presented in a decent-looking 1.85:1 non-anamorphic widescreen transfer. Fans will be disappointed to see a lack of an anamorphic transfer, though the transfer sports solid black levels and bright color patterns. Aside a small amount of edge enhancement, this is a passable-looking image. The soundtrack is presented in Dolby Digital Stereo Surround in English, French, and Spanish, and lacks any true punch. While all aspects of the mix are free and clear of any excessive hiss or distortion, overall this is an under-whelming sound mix that could have used a 5.1 remix. Also included on this disc are French, English, and Spanish subtitles. Tremors 2: Aftershocks is light on extras, sporting only two theatrical trailers, some production notes, and a few cast and crew profiles.

Editorial Reviews

All Movie Guide - Sean D. MacLaggan
The "Graboids" have returned and now there's a lot more of them. Earl Bassett (Fred Ward) and his newfound assistant are hired to hunt them down, and everything goes along peachy until they mutate into smaller versions with legs! Fun sequel manages to pack enough laughs and surprises to keep it interesting, but lacks the chemistry of Ward and Kevin Bacon that made the original a cult classic.
