It does require chronological viewing to enjoy this series. Otherwise your are missing out on quite a lot. Vash may be goofy, but if you pay close attention to the story, you realize his bullet dodging and gun slinging are explained as to why he is so good. However, it is not about bloodshed. It is about a good person who always trys to help other people. Definitely one of the top 3 sci-fi animes out there.

It's a series and though you can watch each one alone, I would not sugest it. It's great Anime. The cover is fooling as it looks serious, but Vash The Stampede isn't. (Yes, that's his name - Vash The Stampede) He's a bit on the dumb side and always seems to have the best of luck. What I really loved was the artwork and the twist and turns of the plot. There's no cussing, no crude graphics. It's just about bloodshed. Good if you like that sort of thing. As I said I found it intersting.
