Nowhere does the packaging or online material tell you a special piece of equipment is needed for the stretch workout. And the footwork tutorial is anything but. It's done too quickly with no explanation. Not everyone has a dance and yoga background, which this DVD seems to expect you to have. Unless I change my mind, this is going out the door!
This is a fun workout that always makes me smile. The music is fantastic-- not your ordinary exercise DVD variety--I believe it is by sting, styler's husband. The cardio routine is easy to follow ( with the exception of the warrior dance which took me a couple tries). I do this barefooted, like the instructor, James d'silva, because it is not a pounding cardio workout. It will definitely make you sweat, especially if you pay attention to form. I am in my early 50's and am done with grueling cardio routines that hurt my knees. Younger people will enjoy this DVD; my teenage daughters love it as well. I have not done the foam roller section yet, and do not agree with the reviewer who gave the DVD a low rating because the equipment needed was not specified on the packaging. It is a bonus stretch section that I plan to try in the future. I bought all of styler's DVDs because her trainer is great, the music is exceptional and the setting is her Tuscan estate. Not much more you could ask from an exercise DVD.
