Overview

Explore the secluded Washington state town made famous by author Stephanie Meyer's Twilight book series - as well as the subsequent films it inspired - in this documentary from three-time Emmy award-winning filmmaker Jason Brown. A rain soaked town steeped in culture and mysticism, Forks was the perfect setting for Meyer's supernatural romance saga. Now, for the very first time, the locals speak out in their own words about what makes the town of Forks such a magical and unique place. From the local Chief of Police, who recounts the time he prepared a home-cooked meal for Meyer, to the man who recounts the secret history of the Quileutes and claims to be Jacob's true grandfather, everyone in Forks has a tale to tell. Additional visits to the Cullen house, the Swan house, and the Forks police station make this a fascinating companion piece to the popular book and film series.

Don't waste your time or money.

I am a Twilight fan. I bought this DVD thinking I would see some of the sights in the real Forks - the school, houses, something. But what I saw was 84 minutes of people talking about how the Twilight series saved their town from going bellyup. It has provided jobs and lots and lots of tourists. And evidently a DVD which isn't even very interesting. I know there is much beautiful country around there and I would like to have seen some of it - nada. Wish I could get my money back.

    I Also Recommend:

Very interesting to see the town it was filmed in...wish I lived there! It has it's own mystique without the Twilight Saga. A warm friendly atomosphere. A town supportive of eachother.

I like how it was broken down into different areas regarding the filming of the movie. What was fact, what was fiction. The town appears to be like the one represented in the film. It's interesting to see how the writer connected with and wrote the story about a place she had never really been to, and with only a few embellishments. I am Native American and I appreciated hearing from the natives the story of the local tribes and their histories in connection with the town. It's nice how the town relates to their Native American neighbors.
