More than 20 years ago, U2 burst out of Dublin, Ireland, set to change the world with their music. Time and again their songs and social conscience have dovetailed with a knack for artistic innovation, from their collaborations with Brian Eno to their multimedia, senses-blitzing Zoo TV tour. The Elevation Tour proves no exception, as this concert video proves. Live from Boston presents almost two hours of U2 onstage at the Fleet Center on June 6, 2001, as they rip through a set of gems from their All That You Can't Leave Behind album, including "Beautiful Day" and "Walk On," on which Bono's passionate voice and the Edge's chiming guitar carry the day. Classics are here, of course, including the anthems "Sunday Bloody Sunday," "With or Without You," and "Where the Streets Have No Name," all of which also attest to bassist Adam Clayton and drummer Larry Mullen's solid, driving rhythm work. The DVD version features a second disc with Another Perspective, an alternate-camera view of the entire show, not to mention three additional performances from around the world and a making-of documentary on the rigors of touring. Tracks are as follows:
  • Elevation
  • Beautiful Day
  • Until the End of the World
  • Stuck in a Moment That You Can't Get Out Of
  • Kite
  • Gone
  • New York
  • I Will Follow
  • Sunday Bloody Sunday
  • In a Little While
  • Desire
  • Stay (Faraway, So Close)
  • Bad
  • Where the Streets Have No Name
  • Bullet the Blue Sky
  • With or Without You
  • The Fly
  • Wake Up Dead Man
  • Walk On

Being a U2 fan, this is must .... great.. no more questions.. buy it.. enjoy the show.... Check out the special hidden feature on DVD #1 by following these instructions to view the Bono Cam: Press menu on disc 1. Go to The Making of Elevation Live and skip to the end. When the credits are done rolling you will see the Dream Chaser logo. At the top is a head of Bono. Highlight and hit enter. This takes you to a new screen where numbers are flashed. Type in 1-9-7-6. I had to push enter after each number. Watch and enjoy!

Having attended the u2 london concert, it all came flooding back with the purchase of the Boston Elevation video. Along with all the classics, Streets, With etc, are the new hits, Beautiful Day, Walk On etc. Thoroughly recommended

As concerts go, this one truly was one of the best of the U2 series. Simple stage, no frills, good seats throughout and small enough to hear evrything being said and sung. With the special features this dvd offers, one is sure to get all that they can't get in any other concert ticket available. A few songs they played in the Atlanta concert and Charlotte aren't on there but what there is, is melodic and plain old classic U2.

As an Avid U2 fan, I was very pleased that they returned to the sports arenas for the concert tour rather than the stadiums. Was able to see them in Los Angeles and it was a Great Concert! It was one of the BEST they have done. The most moving part of the show was the tribute to all those who lost their lives in the 09/11/01 attacks. I have also been lucky enough to get a preview of the U2 concert from Boston, when VH1 aired it on 11/23/01. It was great to see the concert from another perspective. This DVD is a must for anyone who is a U2 fan!

Once again, U2 shows how a great concert is suppose to be done. The concert will send chills down your spine, tears from the eyes, and have you singing out loud, like you're actually there. A must for any true fan, a must for any concert lovers. U2 Rocks!!!!

Simply amazing. I have been a VERY avid fan of U2 since their American debut in 1979. I have seen them in concert 10 times and the Elevation Tour was the latest and greatest....closely edging out The Zoo TV Tour. This DVD captures U2's raw energy and emotion perfectly. I wish that ''One'', ''Mysterious Ways'', and ''Sweetest Thing'' made it onto this DVD, but I'm sure there were valid reasons for their omissions. ''Until the End of the World'', ''Where the Streets Have No Name'', ''With or Without You'', ''New York'', ''Beautiful Day'', & ''Bad'' will bring chills down your spine and perhaps a tear to your eye in some cases. The entire set list will have you captivated from beginning to end.

Having been in attendance at this Fleet Center concert that was filmed for the DVD, I can tell you it rocks. Back-to-basics, no-frills U2. The boys are better than ever! As a fellow 41-year-old, I got my money's worth. (And so did my 14-year-old, a hard core fan.)

Easily THE best concert I've been to. I was at two of the Boston shows; once in the pit and once down low in a seat. If you have followed this band from the beginning as I have you HAVE to get this! The second show was a great night; Bono announced that Ray Borque had just won the Stanley Cup and The Edge came out with a Bourque (Bruins) jersey on.
