Overview

Derek Flint (James Coburn) is back in this James Bond-styled spy spoof sequel to Our Man Flint. Flint's boss Cramden (Lee J. Cobb) assigns him to stop a group of felonious females on the Virgin Islands who hope to take over the world; the bad femmes are kidnapping astronauts and replacing them with doubles to gain access to the world's missile sites. Andrew Duggan plays the U.S. President and his nefarious double. The feature was typical of the spoofs that followed in the wake of the successful James Bond spy films of the 1960s.

We saw the Flint movies when they first came out and we enjoyed them, so we added them to our collection. The films are a far cry from today's special effects, but the give an excellent picture of the period and are still enjoyable. James Colburn is a believeable agent and his independance (wich is a royal pain for his "superior") is very entertaining. Anyone who enjoyes James Bond and the like should enjoy these films or DVD's if you prefer!

I remember watching the Flint movies on television growing up. Of course back then, the movies were more about the gadgetry and cool spy stuff. However, now that I am older, I see it as more of an Austin Powers type of take on the James Bond movies back in the 60's. Plus, a good addition to any collection especially if you are a James Coburn fan.
