I missed Sci-Fi Channel's broadcast of ULTRAVIOLET so I bought it on DVD when it was realeased. This is excellent television, along the lines of the X-Files. I think it was a little more subtle than X-files -- they don't clobber you over the head with anything, they sort of leave it to you to figure out what they're talking about. It's interesting -- and speaks to the series' intelligence -- that they never once say the word ''vampire'' in this series, and you don't see vampires feeding on people. Based on the smart writing and great acting, one could assume that vampires truly DO exist in this day and age; it gave me the feeling that perhaps this is going on in the world and is a very well-kept secret. Jack Davenport is great -- a real hunk and great actor. I definitely recommend this if you're afan of British television. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
