However, no proof of the prof's deed remains. Urban legends are the subject of a course in American folklore taught by Professor Wexler Robert Englund. When a series of bizarre deaths occur on the campus, assertive student Natalie thinks they are murders based on urban legends, but classmates Brenda Rebecca Gayheart, ambitious journalism major Paul Jared Leto, and practical joker Damon Joshua Jackson claim it's just a coincidence. Then Natalie begins to realize that she's the next victim. Since Joshua Jackson is a co-lead on TV's Dawson's Creek, an inside joke surfaces when a radio plays a bit of the Dawson's Creek theme Paula Cole's "I Don't Want to Wait".

    A Very Classy Thriller

    Two years after SCREAM came out (1998)... this terrific slasher/mystery was released. A very classy and engrossing thriller that benifits from a top list of people behind and in front of the camera. Cast includes Alicia Witt, Rebecca Gayheart and Jared Leto (amongst many others). They turn in terrific performances and look fast for some very effective cameo's. Film was directed with style to spare by Jamie Blanks. Watch out for some of those camera angles. Terrific. The score was by Christopher Young of HELLRAISER and HELLRAISER 2. He returned to his horror roots and scored a very propulsive and energetic horror/thriller score. Well worth you time and money.

    This was a good suspenseful movie & the cast was great. I loved it-it had Freddy in it as a professor! What's not to love!! I loved the premise about urban legends!

    Outstanding!

    This is a rare horror movie today about a killer that is actually really good and if you like the sequel I recommended that too.

    This Movie is awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I saw this movie on a cable channel and i just loved it, i liked the part where the killer kills the blonde girl, and the part where she kills the blonde guy. The ending is awsome, although they sould of put the ending in the begining, that would og been like the killer was actually telling the story, Anyway i loved this movie!!!!!!!!!!!

    The Best Movie Ever!

    This movie is excellent. It builds up suspense and has many jaw dropping surprises and twists. Not to mention the extraordianry endind..... :)

    Urban Legend: A great Movie!

    This movie was a great movie with an even greater surprise ending. It has a little bit of everything...gore, suspense, horror, and originality. Overall, it was excellent.
