Saw this in the theater - twice. It stands in the opinion of at least four of my friends as the best anime in existence to date. The animation is visually stunning, the story is compelling and enthralling, and the villians are to die for (and they make sure you will). A must have for any anime enthusiast.

I have been waiting for this movie for two years and let me tell you it was worth the wait. I can say that even though it was done by the directors of Ninja Scroll they did not stray from his story. I have turned so many people to Bloodlust and they are not anime fans they were impressed with the story and animation. When ever I wear my t-shirt in public I am amazed at how many people walk up to me and say ''D'' That's ''D''. My favorite part in the movie is when he catches the arrow and says his name. (Awesome) Bloodlust is enjoyable whether you are an anime fan or not.

This title is off the hook. The artwork is awesome. The story line is amazing. This is a must for anyone interested in anime. If you liked the first one you are sure to love this one. What are you doing reading this? Shouldn't you be ordering this movie.

You could either assume its the sequel to the original 80s one or a stand alone movie just with the same character. Anyway this is about the hunter only known as D who is on another mission this time to rescue a woman who has been "kidnapped" by a vampire. Along the way the hunter is then met by other hunters who are after the same thing and the reward. Like the amazing race of who can get to the destination first or something like. I thought it was alright though there's a small twist at the end but hey i prefer this than the first one though the first is a classic so it was equally good too.

After hearing the buzz about the second movie and owning the first. I finally saw it on my friends computer. It was fair quality, but it was good enough. The storyline is an interesting plot wrought with vengence, love, and betrayel(Excillent combination). The animation was excillent, and the redrawn characters looked superb. The new environments are also quite miraculous, and Camilla's Abbey is one of the most beautifully drawn structures I have ever seen. It is and incredibally enveloping story that I was glad I saw.

ok look heres the deal d is supposed to rescue this chick who is in love with a vamp and bring her back to her family that said it wasnt bad but d is given waaaay to much credit it seems the hunter team with the brothers does most of the work while d takes the credit... myer (the vamp d is hunting) on the other hand is amazing i would like to see him in a showdown with alucard (hellsing) all in all this movie had a solid plot and good characters the weapons were cool, however some of the characters were under developed and the relationship between d and the female main was poorly explained i did like this but hellsing is still the greatest vamp series as far as im concerned and you may want to check out the boxed set on this site if you really want a great vamp story.

It is hard to find anything wrong with this movie, except the fact that it's not for children. The animation is SUPERB, the cast of voices perfect, the plot extremely engaging, and the action exciting and appropriate. There are flashes of humor, but by and large, the story emotional and tragic. D's personality is captured beautifully--if you have read the novels, you will not be disappointed. The trailer, alas, is very poor--please don't base your decision to buy on it. It's a movie to watch again and again. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

In the dark future of tomorrow the vampire rules all, and bounty hunters must fight the vampires and their deamon helpers to bring back the light. A beatiful young lady is taken in the night by the local vampire. Her rich father hires a team of bounty hunters and the famous dunpeal (half human half vampire) D. 20 million to anyone who can bring her back one way or the other. D, is both good and evil darkness and light, he is more cursed than the darkness. With his one hand cursed by a sprit that, I must say gets the best lines. The humans hate him for being a alien amog them, and the vampires hate him for being part human and siding with the humans. The two love brids, will they escape everyone and everything by taking the ship into the sky? The voices are dubbed beatifully, although some of the characters are cured, Meier is still very hansome (if you can say that) and the young woman he takes is appearntly suppose to be beatiful (I guess). A weak story line, but is mixed with love, wampires, science fiction and horror. The all out action makes up for the lame story line.

Eversince I watched this, I've been unable to decide which was my favorite, ''Hellsing,'' or ''Vampire Hunter D.'' None of the scenes were at all dull so I was always on the edge. The characters and action scenes were leet! It's definetly a must in any real anime collection.
