Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Donald Liebenson
Here's the answer to every Veggie Tales fan's prayers: Three of the most popular biblical adaptations from the Christian computer-animated series in one collection. "The Story of Flibber-O-Loo" (excerpted from the video Are You My Neighbor?) retells in whimsical, Seussian verse the parable of the Good Samaritan and how he brings peace between two warring villages. Set inside a chocolate factory, "Rack, Shack & Benny" offers a lesson in handling peer pressure inspired by the biblical story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Finally, "Josh and the Big Wall" is a typically unorthodox retelling of the tale of Joshua and the walls of Jericho, complete with French-accented peas. Adding to the fun is one of Larry the Cucumber's signature "Silly Songs," the showstopping "Dance of the Cucumber."

    Classic Veggie Tales

Fun, entertaining Bible stories told in classic Veggie Tales style. Sure to bring stories to life while putting smiles on the faces of all ages! Silly songs guarenteed to be hits.

    A good educational tool

I used these stories for educational purposes with my confirmation class to demonstrate growth in faith from the perspective of a young child. They thought it was appropriate for young kids but they found it to be cheesy and "not-cool". But, those are Jr. High kids for you. I think it's a great tool for learning morals and the basics of the Bible.

Best Series for Children Out There

My husband introduced me to Veggie Tales, Silly Songs, before I had children. I thought it was absolutely hysterical. Now my 2 year old son loves all of them (his favorite is 'Little Joe', & the 'Belly Button' silly song). After seeing an episode of 'Sponge Bob' (worst cartoon ever), I've never been so happy to have Veggie Tales for my son to watch, something he can enjoy & learn from.

    Can't Get Enough!

My 18 month old absolutely loves this whole line of tales. The veggie idea is brilliant and my whole family loves their silly yet meaningful songs. You'll fall in love with these guys. Brilliant concept!
