Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Donald Liebenson
This celebration in song is a break from the usual Veggie Tales video salad: There are no biblical stories, nor are there lessons about sharing, forgiveness, peer pressure, or behaving obediently. Instead, fans are treated to 43 minutes of computer-animated silliness -- culled from the "Silly Songs with Larry" segments that brighten the Veggie Tales video series. How does it all work? Well, the "Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" flick a switch on an Astonishing Contraption of Silliness to tally the votes placed by fans, selecting the silliest song of all time. Although we're pretty sure that no Palm Beach-style butterfly ballots were involved in the process, we still wonder how "Larry's High Silk Hat" rose to only eighth place in the voting not fair!. The Veggie faithful, though, will certainly savor this compilation of such wantonly inane favorites as "Endangered Love," "The Yodeling Veterinarian of the Alps," and "Dance of the Cucumber." What could be sillier? Michael Flatley: Lord of the Dance of the Cucumber. But that, alas, remains a product of our imagination.

Definitely one to add to your Veggie Collection!

Our whole family drops everything when I pop this one in. The kids love it and so do the adults! Definitely entertaining!

    Longtime veggie-fans

My family and I are long time fans of the veggies, and this DVD did not disappoint. The characters are silly and energetic enough to keep my 4-year-olds attention, and the tongue-in-cheek humor has me humming right along with him. Definitely worth buying, it has gotten us through several restless evenings and rainy days.
