"A Circus Town Christmas," from the delightful stop-motion animated series JoJo's Circus, is a charming story in which JoJo must choose between buying a nest to keep a shivering bird safe and warm, or replacing a broken Santa Clown ornament that her family cherishes. In a Christmas-themed episode from Higglytown Heroes, one of Santa's elves grants "Twinkle's Wish," which is to join in wrapping gifts at the North Pole. The stories are linked by two segments from the career-awareness series, "Shanna's Show," in which a young girl offers musical clues about what kind of job she is acting out. Each series has its own distinctive look. The Christmas lessons are simple and sweet ("The best presents are the things we do that make us feel good inside"), and these engaging, good-natured characters will be welcome guests at any family holiday celebration.
