Together, Tom and Diana contrived to make life miserable for Harvey Bains Daniel Hill, the prissy, rule-bound manager of Bayview. Also appearing from time to time were Tom's son Geoffrey Andrew Tourell, Jeffrey's snappish wife Marion Sandra Payne, and irritatingly cheerful senior-center worker Jane Edwards Janine Duvitski. Despite its geriatric cast, Waiting for God managed to stay on the air for five seasons and 47 episodes, from June 28, 1990 to October 27, 1994.

    One Of The Funniest

One of the funniest British Comedies available on DVD.
Like most it's best to start with episode one to learn all
the characters. Definitely a series to watch more then once.

    hilarious series

This was a great show. I watched it religiously on pbs, and after all the reruns it's still funny. I hope by the time I'm as old I have even half as much on the ball as these people. In places it's sad, in other places heartwarming, and mostly as funny as anything you've seen. Some people may have a little trouble with the accents, but I could understand it fine. Let's hope the beeb gets on the ball and starts releasing the rest of the series. I'm waiting to give them my money.
