Set does not include the complete story...

I was disappointed to find that the set I ordered was incomplete. I believe there are at least 10 DVD's to a complete set. You receive only 6 leaving you wondering what happened to the characters. I wonder why they don't let you know that the set they are selling is incomplete?

Much Better than Winds of War

Winds of War was flawed by bad casting of pivotal roles with Ali McGraw and Jan Michael Vincent. Both seemed too old and arrogant and just plain annoying. The recast of Jane Seymour and Hart Bochner for War and Remembrance was a brilliant correction which made the sequel far superior to Winds of War.

    A bit of adjustment...

A worthy follow-up to 1983's epic miniseries "The Winds of War," but it takes a bit of getting used to, due to the major casting changes. Jane Seymour's Natalie is timid and mousy, Hart Bochner's Byron is a non-entity, and Steven Berkoff's Hitler is over-the-top looney tunes. Fortunately, a large portion of the original cast do return, and John Gielgud's Aaron and Barry Bostwick's 'Lady' Aster are welcome additions.
