Waylon Shines, But Movie Lacks Luster

Waylon Jennings shines as an up and coming country music star. The songs he performs in this movie, mostly written by legendary songwriter Harlan Howard are nostalgic early Waylon Jennings. The theme of the movie is great and depicts what really happens to country music star want to be's. It shows how the glimmer and lights draw a young singer in like a magnet, only to be bam boozled by a scam artist. A lot of the acting is very poor, but the main story line is great. I give it 4 starts for the soundtrack and story line. If it were'nt for that, I would probably give it 3 stars and maybe even 2.
