Overview

One of Universal's classic monsters returns in the double feature Werewolf of London / She-Wolf of London. The quality of these 1.33:1 full-frame transfers is quite impressive considering their age. One of Universal's classic monsters returns in the double feature Werewolf of London / She-Wolf of London. The quality of these 1.33:1 full-frame transfers is quite impressive considering their age. The black-and-white levels all look very even and solid with only a slight amount of shimmer hindering the image. Grain and dirt show up during much of the film, though it's kept to a minimum and is rarely distracting to the viewing. Overall, Universal has done a very nice job on these two transfers. The audio for both films is presented in Dolby 1.0 Mono. Neither of these soundtracks will do much for expensive home theater equipment, though they are adequate and quite clear of any distortion or excessive hiss. Both films also included English, Spanish, and French subtitles. Each film's extra features include a theatrical trailer for each respective film, cast and crew information on the movies, and some production notes on the making of the films. While the extra features for this disc are slim, the fact that you get two films for one price is well worth the supplemental sacrifice.
