Julia Lund Laura Regan is a college student studying psychology who, as a child, was haunted by "night terrors," hideous nightmares so vivid they seem real. As Julia's life becomes more stressful, her childhood nightmares begin coming back; what's more, her friend Billy Jon Abrahams, who had similar dreams as a boy, also reports that his terrors have returned, complete with the same monsters he claims spirited him away for two days when he was little. Julia's boyfriend Paul Marc Blucas is certain they're both just imagining things thanks to too much studying and too little sleep, but when Billy turns up dead, an apparent suicide, Julia is convinced something really is out to get them. Certain there really are monsters which come out to get people when the lights go off, Julia is determined to find and harness these creatures of the dark, while Paul is convinced his girlfriend has descended into madness. While he's given possessive credit for the film in the United States, Wes Craven was not in fact a part of the creative team behind They.

    Fun but a piece o' crap!

    This movie was okay. I defineitely agree with the people who criticized this movie and gave it a one. I would have to but the...THEY things...amped my score up two. So, if you wanna see a grand great horror movie, Don't pick this. But if you wanna see some creepy monsters, rent this.

    Intense

    This movie was intense, without the gore. It had good acting, and a decent plot.It was one of those films you kind of need to watch at night, with someone else.Way to go Wes Craven!

    Absolute garbage

    Acting talent was weak, no defined plot, ending left many unanswered questions. Why were these people plagued with 'night terrors'? What was causing the marks on their skin? Why did the creatures single these folks out? The movie never answered these basic questions - it just ended... Second thought -- thank god it ended...

    YIKES!

    I thought that 'THEY' was straight-up terrifying! I must have jumped out of my seat 20 times. I would say that this movie is just as disturbing as it is scary. Definitely see it with someone!!

    They

    This was one of the worst films I have ever had the misfortune to view. I usually enjoy Wes Craven movies, so I decided to give this one a try. I was very disappointed. There is no plot, no depth, and no development. Unless you want to watch some incredibly stupid people screaming and running for an hour and a half, don't waste your time.

    Awful!

    ''They'' is a terrible movie. You can't really call it a movie. There was barely any plot, no character depth. It didn't even have good acting, it was awful. Is this really the future of horror films? The plot was all mangled up. It made very little sense. It started out interesting, but after the 1st 10 mintues, it crashed and burned. The film never even explained the character fully. The film ever explained why ''they'' went after these people in partically. It made no sense at all! The film never explained ''they'' at all. In fact, nothing was explained at all. In my opinion, this is the wrost horror film ever created in the history of cinema.

    They

    Don't bother- this is one of the dumbest films I've ever had the misfortune to view. All it is is a bunch of screaming and running, and the ending makes no sense whatsoever.

    They are Freaky

    OK the movie isn't really that scary but the creature ''They'' they are scary...if you've seen Signs they look kind of like those aliens...except these are scarier....um some parts of this movie are gross (freaky gross) but not to bad. It has the same childhood fear story as Darkness Falls but get alot more into it. The scariest part of the movie is any time a ''They'' comes.
