Overview

In lieu of continuing the events of Geoffrey Sax's 2005 thriller White Noise (which starred Michael Keaton and Chandra West), the supernatural thriller White Noise 2 (released in Great Britain as White Noise: The Light) begins with a separate set of characters and explores a thematically similar set of events. Abe Dale (Nathan Fillion) is a sweet-natured, contented husband and father whose wife, Rebecca (Kendall Cross) and young son, Danny (Josh Ballard) are butchered by a seemingly crazed gunman. Henry Caine (Craig Fairbrass) bursts into a diner and shoots both of them, then turns the gun on himself. Devastated, Abe makes an unsuccessful suicide bid, then awakens in a hospital, where he finds himself in a near death experience, pulled inexorably toward a bright light. Regaining consciousness, Abe discovers his sudden, newfound ability to spot "auras" around the living that signal death in advance. He uses the precognition to save several lives from potential disaster, as a kind of 'avenging angel,' but soon discovers that these interventions against death wreak exceedingly dire and ugly consequences on Earth.

My friend was jumping and clawing and biting me throughout the whole movie when we watched this. Im not one to get scared of movies but I always enjoy watching them and this one was good!

I remember having seen the 1st White Noise last year, after having just bought it cheap used somewhere, and then I found this one for only $5 somewhere and picked it up, and it was well worth the $5, though the disc had been fairly scuffed, but they weren't deep enough to really effect the movie. There were a few parts that pop out of you and freak you out, and the rest is all psychological. Though I think I liked the 1st movie just a tad more, this one was pretty good too, and I like Nathan Fillion in it too, who starred in the sci fi show Firefly and the follow up movie Serenity, which was great, and he also appeared in Saving Private Ryan, which is my favorite war movie of all time. Everyone did a pretty decent job in this one, and if you like good chilling movies with a few pop out scares, definitely give this one a watch.
