Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Donald Liebenson
After eight years, it's comforting to know that some things never change. As the polymorphous-perverse socialite Karen (Megan Mullally) observes at one point in Will and Grace's bittersweet, and ultimately heartwarming finale, "Will's mean, Grace is flat-chested, Jackie's pretending like he's following this, and I'm high from something I found under the sink in your bathroom." But changes are in store for the lifelong best friends. Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) have not spoken in two years, following her decision to reconcile with her ex-husband (Harry Connick Jr.). Both have gone on to start new lives and families -- a daughter for Grace, a son for Will and his life partner, Vince (Bobby Cannavale). Meanwhile, in classic sitcom tradition, Karen and Jack (Sean Hayes), the series' indispensable second bananas, scheme to reconcile the estranged pair. As the hour unfolds, some chapters close and others open, lost friendships are found, and destiny manifests itself in one of television's great meet-cutes some 20 years down the road. More interested in pratfalls and punch lines than preaching, Will and Grace fabulously succeeded where the pioneering Ellen failed, earning unprecedented mainstream acceptance for a gay-themed comedy. True to form, Will and Grace bids farewell by staying true to its subversively funny muse, as witness the return of diminutive Beverley Leslie (Leslie Jordan), bent on making Jack his kept man. For a series that lived (and some critics say, died) on A-list guest stars, the finale offers only Kevin Bacon, who appears in Grace's nightmare vision of a future with Will. Better, we get Shelley Morrison as Rosario, still trading profanities and put-downs with Karen, who, in a twist of fate, becomes penniless. Jack and Karen, as ever, supply the hour's biggest laughs, but near the wind-up, they are given a lovely swan song. To quote the classic lyric, this finale is "Unforgettable" in every way.

Will & Grace was and is a great hilariously witty show and it was sad to see the series end, and while the series finale epsiode had some funny moments and it was nice to see Harry Connick Jr, and Bobby Cannivale I found that for the last episode ever of this series that it was kind of disappointing and I felt they could have done better!

After 8 years, it's really sad to see the show end. The main 4 actors, Eric, Debra, Sean, and Megan, are all four very talented actors and actresses, and I hope the best for them. Will & Grace has been more than a show to many viewers, and I know I'm speaking on behalf of alot of people when I say, thank you for those 8 years, to everyone from Will & Grace.

I have loved this show since it first went on the air. Having followed the lives of these amazing charaters has been a great pleasure. This is the last episode ever and it is heart breaking to even think about. This epiosde. Be ready to cry as you watch your favorite charaters age and deal with there final conflictions. As this episode takes place over years it was particuly had for me to watch my friends age so. Also a heart-breaking song by Jack and Karen, and a wonderful end scene with the whole gang.

I LOVE this show & even though I still started watching the reruns a couple of years ago I feel like I've been with the show since the beginning. The thing i love most about the show is that if im ever having a bad day, then I come home pop in one one of the Will & Grace dvd & i just laugh my troubles away.Every time I watch this episode, I cry almost all the way through !! If the seriers hadn't ended the way it did, then they could have made it into a movie, like with sex & the city, but . . . not that Im not happy with the way it ended. This truly is one of the best, most entertaining,& funniest shows ever made !! It will be missed !!!!
