Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year
This family-friendly cartoon is about what happens when a new year comes to the Hundred Acre Wood. Rabbit becomes annoyed with his friends while he prepares a party to commemorate the new year. In order to make him feel better, each of the citizens of the Wood make resolutions to change, but end up becoming like one of the others. Pooh becomes downbeat when he forgoes honey and Piglet begins bouncing. The DVD release of the film offers a karaoke function allowing people to sing along during the film.

Do your kids love Pooh? Mine, too. So we were very excited to learn of this new release DVD, just in time for the holidays. If you do not already own ''Winnie the Pooh and Christmas Too'' on video, this is definitely a good buy. We, however, have all the available Pooh already, and were hoping for new adventures from our favorite friends. This cleverly repackaged DVD begins with our friends gathering to trim the tree at Pooh's house, and then segues into ''Remember the Christmas that almost wasn't?'' So, the first few minutes are new, and then we see ''and Christmas Too'' in its entirety. The last portion of the DVD is also new, with a few catchy songs, surrounding New Year's. I do wish they had to label DVDs like books, saying, ''previously released as: '' I feel that Disney pulled a fast one on us here. Just like when you expect a new ''Friends'' episode, and instead get remembrance highlights from previous shows. This is a worthy addition to any family DVD collection. The kids really enjoyed it. Just make sure they know it is only half new before screening to avoid any disappointment.
