Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble
Gone but not forgotten, the late-'80s cop show Wiseguy consistently earned high critical marks for its innovative structure and character-driven writing. Creators Stephen J. Cannell and Ken Lupo (who collaborated on The Rockford Files and The A-Team) built the series around complex story arcs, serving up a combination of individual plotlines as well as larger, sweeping backstories. Ken Wahl starred as undercover cop Vinnie Terranova, charged with the unenviable task of infiltrating an Atlantic City mob family captained by Sonny Steelgrave (Ray Sharkey). During its all-too-brief four-season run, Wiseguy featured pre-stardom cameos by such actors as Annette Bening, Kevin Spacey and Stanley Tucci, a testament to the show's superb casting. This four-DVD set compiles all nine of the show's first-season episodes, plus the two-part pilot and two stand-alone bonus episodes. Special features include commentaries by Ken Wahl and interviews with actors Jonathan Banks and Elsa Raven as well as Cannell.

    Great addtion for my library

This one was a nice surprise. I did not watch much TV in the past years. I missed it on television. While waiting for NYPD Blue to come out with more sets, I found this set. Now.....I am hoping for more on this one as well.
