Barbara Taylor Bradford at her finest. I have read this book long time ago & now I'm rereading it & doing the series with it this time. Absolute loved it!! What women can do when we put or mind into it.

If you are looking for a pleasant few hours of 19th century story," servant girl betters herself" on par with Berkley Square or any of Jane Austins writings or even on par with Wives and Daughters, forget it. Even though i researched this movies before i was willing to spend nearly $40. I was soon to be taught a lesson on any movies made on Barbara Taylor Bradford's books. Seems to me it was more about thing's like a shocking rape scene, sex. anti religious, hate and revenge.Of which i for one am tired of.
