    Nothing new here

Not worth the money. Just a lot of the same old tired footage we've seen before. get the "World At War" set. It's a lot better.

    WWII Gets a Sketchy Treatment

This title is advertised as the War in Europe. In fact it covers both the war in Europe and the war in the Pacific. Far too ambitious for just 195 minutes. The first disk is a general overview and the second disk rehashes a few certain battles. Very strong American slant with Britain and the other allies getting little time. The Russian front is completely ignored. The Enigma code breaking effort is also ignored. Not up to the History Channel's usually fine efforts.
