Xena: One of the best shows ever created

You cannot go wrong with Xena. The actors are just so terrific at what they do. The episode music is great, the scenery is perfect, being as it is filmed in N.Z. The storylines are just so inspired. Although I didn't like all of them, they were still very good. I am in particular, a Gabrielle/Joxer shipper and didn't esp like the subtext between Xena and Gabrielle. Some of my favourite episodes from the whole tv show are: The Quill is Mightier, A Comedy of Eros If the Shoe Fits The Bitter Suite and In Sickness and in Hell. Watch Xena and you will be hooked. Even though the series had to end, I'm still a huge fan.

    Xena Rocks

I think Xena is one of the best shows ever made. I own seasons 1,2,3, and 6 on VHS and season 4 on DVD. I love Xena but this season is definitly the worst of the series. I loved the Sin Trade episodes and Family Affair but after that the episodes revolved way too much around Gabrielle. Dont get me wrong I love Gabrielle but having most of the episodes be about her was boring. Some episodes were trying to be funny but ended up being stupid. I absolutly loved the episode The Ides of March and I cant wait to buy Season 5 when it is released. After I buy that I will own every Xena episode ever made!!!

    Xena comes into Her Own!

This is probably the best season of Xena: Warrior Princess. Finally free of its parent show Hercules : The Legendary Journeys, the show is allowed to branch out into some interesting new directions and take on a bit of a different spin. This season shows pretty much the last of the crossovers between characters from Hercules into Xena and establishes the main cast of characters that will be definitive to the show. The first three episodes deal with Xena searching for her dead sidekick Gabrielle by travelling to the Amazon Land of the dead where she battles the shamoness Alti and frees the spirits of the dead Amazons of her wicked past. Eventually she recovers Gabrielle but, she has been changed by the loss and the quest. We begin to see the relationship between the two characters begin to take on a new level that will eventually cause arguments for years to come. I dont like to write spoilers so from an overview perspective highlights of the season include a hillarious send up of 'Footloose' dubbed 'A Tale of Two Muses' and a reoccurring band of characters from Roman Times that we all know from reading Shakespeare's 'Julius Ceasar.' There are also several appearances by the 'King of B Movies,' Bruce Campbell as Autolycus, King of Thieves, which are always welcome to me in any series. The show stopper is, appropriately, the season finale 'De ja vu, All over again,' which is so funny I have to wonder if the great Yogi Bera had something to do with the script other than lending the title! The stocking stuffers on this set are incredible. I have yet to see this much bonus content on another series. The packaging is a new and compact design that is unique from what I have seen out there. Apart from the eight discs with episodes and commentary there are two 'bonus discs' just for special features which I haven't seen outside of 'The Lord of The Rings' releases. This set is definitely worth the money.

    xena is back

This is what the plot revolved around.Where is Gabrielle - is she alive or dead? Xena tracks her down to the land of the Amazons, trapped along with Amazon spirits. Xena fights Alti to see her best friend one more time, but is it really her? Eventually reunited they travel on but things don¹t go smoothly for the adventurous duo as Xena is sent to Shark Island Prison for past crimes and even Argo switches sides and becomes a Warlord's horse! Xena breaks free to continue her fight against injustice, never easy as the evil Horde returns with a vengeance! Worth a watch for a Xena fan with loads of extra stuff to enjoy from the 6 CD set.

    Battle On!

This is Xena -- anything can happen & usually does. What's really fun about this collection are the production notes & commentary, particularly the audio comments: director's vision, lighting, shot set-ups, combined with Lawless & O'Connor's reflections.

Xena Warrior Princess - Season 4

I Love Ares, and even though there isn¿t much of him in season four this is still a great season. It¿s full of wonderful drama, great fight scenes, and hilarious comedy; there is enough of everything to make it truly great! This DVD set is so wonderful. These extras are a blast to watch. This set would be great for anyone who likes to be drawn into a great story, or for anyone who would like to just sit back and laugh for a little bit. A very well rounded show for all!

Xena Warrior Princess - Season 4

Gabrielle's character has grown so much, and been through so much. This season it all comes to ahead as she searches for her meaning in life. She and Xena find their 'way' and discover just how much they really mean to each other. This is a wonderful set that's full of great extras. I highly recommend this to everyone!

    The Legend continues!

Xena must overcome past evil deeds to find Gabrielle after Season 3's cliffhanger 'Sacrifice.' After a heart-wrenching reunion, our duo faces another war with the Romans, a psychotic warlord, vigorous dancing, and life-changing challenges among other things while trying to find their 'Way.' Throughout most of the season, Xena must battle her fear of the vision Alti cursed her with which leads up to the *true* season finale, 'The Ides of March.' Be sure to check out this 10 disc set, and don't miss all the action-packed episodes including the oh-so controversial 'The Way' which sparked much debate. Personally, I can't wait to see the humorous 'The Play's the Thing' just to see Gabrielle criticize everyone who auditions!

    Amazing Emotion Envoking Ride!!!!

Hang on to your charkrams people, because the ride of your life is coming June 15 2004!!!! The brilliant cast and crew of the world hit XENA: Warrior Princess have busted their butts to bring you this riveting season four right to your front door!!! Yes that's right, the Bard's back with more to tell than ever as she and her scintillating companion of a warrior journey through thick and thin while finding themselves and continuing their emotional fight against the Gods, the idiots, the deluded and their pasts. If you want to be moved, if you want to feel alive, then let Xena and Gabrielle help you to unwind with their fireside and hot tub chats, Laugh with their unfortunate luck and troublesome yet adorable friends, Cry as you're drawn into their horrific heartaches and fears and most of all get a thrill out of watching them kick butt!! Season four is an absolute gem, ten out of ten, five stars, highest accolades, a triple plus and any other ratings system it blows through the roof!!! The entire season four shows once again what television should be, and what a BANG it begins with, with the deep 'Adventures in the sin trade' parts one and two, only then to follow on with Xena's trade mark camp comedy in episodes like, 'In Sickness and Hell', 'A tale of two muses' and 'If the shoe fits!!' But just when you think this season couldn't get any better, prepare yourself for the finale that BLEW fans away, with it's shocking cliffhanger, the brillently written 'Ides of March!' This is an absolute MUST HAVE!!!!
