My husband was doing some channel surfing on HBO when we came upon this movie. It was funny. After attending a motivation meeting of saying only yes, Carl (Jim Carrey) gets taken by a homeless man for a "ride". Cell phone's battery has died and he is out of gas way out somewhere in the woods...poor guy. He just couldn't say "no" and turn people away; he kept saying "yes" to just about anything and everything. Boy meets girl, falls in love, then he loses his girl, but he finds a way to win her back...I like that. The ending was too hilarious when Terrence comes out and sees all in attendance naked because they donated their clothes to Carl. Now that's what I call payback time...LOL

I just finally saw this movie for the first time, and I hafta say that I really enjoyed it. Some of it was a little predictable, like with the girl...they fall in love and something happens to get her to break it off and guy must win her back. However, it was done comically, and the whole rest of the movie in and of itself was pretty good. I laughed pretty well periodically in the movie, and it just gives you this nostalgic sense of wanting to really get out and start enjoying life more. I have a little bit of a tendancy, too, to be a bit of a recluse at times and sit home by myself and watch movies, much like Jim Carrey's character did in the beginning of this movie, but I have resolved now to actually start getting out a bit more and doing more stuff, rather than just vegging a lot in my recliner at home in front of the boob tube. It's the perfect opportunity for it too, since I have just received a new and better schedule at work. Anyway, if you are a Jim Carrey fan and/or just like a good comedic movie with perhaps a little bit of romantic element, with perhaps a bit of a motivational element to it, I definitely suggest this movie. The whole cast did great as well. Zooey Deschanel, Bradley Cooper, John Michael Higgins, and Terrance Stamp are great!
