I practice Bikram (hot) yoga regularly and was looking for a video I could take with me while traveling. I don't have the discipline to hold the Bikram series postures for 30-60 seconds on my own so external motivation seemed the next best option. This video incorporates the aspects of repetition, gradual movement, and holding poses that make me love the Bikram series so much. This video is long enough and strenuous enough to make you feel like you're actually doing something. It also makes good use of the upper body which, as a woman, is often lacking in my own exercises. There is a great deal of focus on the back and stomach by virtue of the postures chosen for this series. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend this video highly for someone who wants to build strength and endurance as well as slimming the stomach and burning fat.

Rodney Yee is an excellent yoga instructor. His directions are clear and informative. This yoga practice may be best for those already familiar with basic yoga poses. I have several of Rodney Yee's DVDs including Beginner's Yoga, A.M. Yoga for Your Week, and Back Care Yoga. Yoga Burn is challenging; the slow and deliberate movements are meditative, core muscles are trained, and metabolism is increased. After completion of this 60 min. practice, one feels energized (similiar to an hour cardio routine) and one's muscles feel worked out. Namaste.

Loved this DVD!    I see results pretty quickly when I follow Yoga Burn on a regular basis.  I become toned and flexible.  Highly recommend it!

If you're looking to "kick up" your yoga practice, than this is the video for you! I've been practicing for approximately five years and was looking for something a bit stronger. While this instruction was not diffcult to complete, I was pleased to feel it in several areas the following day. As always, Rodney Yee ever pleasant and soothing in this practice. Poses are held longer than usual and repeated several times for an overall effect. Total practice took approxately one hour but the time seemed to fly by.

When looking for a yoga program I wanted a DVD that would use the methods and moves of yoga to help me lose weight. Rodney Yee's Yoga Burn did precisely that. It's challenging in that one form moves into another, offering a surprisingly good workout. There is no New Age focus to the DVD. It's like a workout DVD using yoga. I would recommend it to anyone starting out.

This is by far the best yoga dvd I've used in my practice. The movements are slow and repetitive (about 3x), but those qualities contribute to the "burn" you feel the next day. In addition to helping tone my body overall, this practice has also increased my flexibility, both of which have enhanced my running. I've been using this dvd for the past 9 months, and it's helped me reduce my stress, increase my energy, and become more focused (esp. when I practice before going to work in the morning). My sister borrowed it once and loved it, and I've also recommended it to my friends. The only downside is that it's an hour, which combined with running and other strength training activities is a lot of time, but definitely worth doing even just 1-2x a week.

This is a very enjoyable yoga workout: Simple, straightforward, easy to follow if you have some yoga experience. I did not find it to provide much of a challenge and use it when I need some good stretching and/or relaxation. I have several yoga dvd's by Rodney Yee and like him as an instructor. I would recommend this if you are looking for stretching and relaxation or are somewhat new to yoga. Namaste!

I believe the tempo of the DVDs I own are appropriate for those who like myself are beginners and on through intermediate levels. His instruction, guidance, and combinations of poses are clear, easy to follow, and yet appropriately challenging. I whole heartedly recommend all his DVDs that I know and use which are: A.M. Yoga for your week, Energy Balance Yoga, Yoga For Beginners, and Power Yoga. I look forward to purchasing more of his DVDs in the future. Many of them are videoed in scenic locations which further enhance the exercise experience. I "always" come away from my yoga exercises energized and wide awake regardless of the energy level from which I start. He also has a manual, "Moving Toward Balance", which I own. It is great to be able to study the manual in order to pinpoint poses. You don't have to have both DVD and manual to benefit from his instruction, but I enjoy the in depth learning I get from owning both.

The DVD just moved way to slow for me. I know the title is Yoga Burn (the moves are done very slowly to feel a muscle burn), but I did not feel like I got a good workout, the poses just took too long & the moves were not challenging at all. The hour just dragged by & I love yoga! I would not recommend this DVD
