This DVD helped take my weight loss to the next level. This DVD allows for modifications in workout levels. In about 3 weeks,as I became more familar with the poses and more focused on breathing my body was losing inches and becoming toned. My focus on breathing improved and therefore increasing my heart rate during my workout. This is a wonderful video to incorporate into any healthy exercise routine. With a change in in eating habits, as needed, and a commitment to self this DVD will help take your weight loss to a new level without having to be hard on the body.

I am 52 years old and have been doing this 45 minute workout 3 times a week for 2 years. The scenery and music are relaxing and allows me to concentrate on Susan's instructions. Not being overweight, I don't know if it's effective for weight loss, but it helped my balance, flexibility and body tone. I highly recommend it!

I can't begin to tell you how great I feel after using this DVD. I started using this one because I had a pinched nerve in my back and I wanted to do some stretches, etc. My therapist suggested yoga. So, I figured if I am going to do it why not lose weight. My flexibility is now incredible. I can get into positions that I have not been able to do since highschool (graduated way too long ago) and I have lost weight too. I am using this combined with pilates and the 2 compliment each other well. I recommend this to everyone. The instructor is very helpful and watching the different variations gives YOU the option as to which poses you can do in the advanced stages. Some I can do at a medium level and some advanced and some beginner and it's nice to have all the options there on 1 screen (or I can watch just one level too if I want). The music is relaxing. Overall I am really a happier person since I started this.

This DVD provides an excellent yoga workout. It is challenging enough for more experienced yogis, but it also has great modifications for those looking to improve their strength, balance, and flexibility. I have owned this video since it was only available on VHS, and jumped for joy when I found it on DVD. This DVD leaves me feeling light, refreshed, and energetic after my workouts. This is a great buy!

This yoga dvd has great instruction and beautiful scenery. The mat orientation is different from what I am used to, but I got over that quickly. The practice is taped in Sedona, AZ, and it makes me want to visit there. Suzanne Deason gives great instruction at all times. All levels are demonstrated with different positioning using blocks or hands at different areas of the leg. You can select any chapter, so your workout could just be more strenous or include breathing and relaxation poses. I think this is a great dvd for beginners and intermediate level practitioners.

This is a really fantastic yoga video. If you dont know the names of poses and need to be taught, this does that. It's easy to learn the routine so you can really focus on the moves and what you need to be doing. It has the same workout at three [maybe four?] different difficulties so the routine can grow with you.

Helpful, basic video. Nice music. Calming. A good companion practice for weight loss. I do believe yoga inspires you to take better care of your body and soul more than most western exercise and diets.

I'm a beginner and found this to be very easy to follow and it really works all parts of your body. Very glad I bought it! I have to agree that it probably won't help you lose a lot of weight, but I think it more than makes up for that in the conditioning part - I feel better than I ever have.

This workout will not burn calories, but it will firm your muscles. It has beautiful relaxing music and it allows you enough time to sink in to the positions. You will feel it in you muscles the next day. If you want to burn calories with yoga try "Yoga Weight-loss workout for Dummies" and you will work up a sweat

This video is fine for just getting into yoga, but its not going to help you lose weight. Its too slow to be aerobic and most experts say you need to increase your heartrate in order to burn fat.

This Yoga DVD is deceiving. If your main goal is weight loss, this is NOT for you. You need to burn calories and get your heart pumping if you want to lose weight. You also need to speed your metabolism by building muscle. This DVD is strictly Yoga. As far as Yoga is concerned, it's very good. You will increase your flexibility and even some strength, but just by adding this DVD to your normal life, you will not lose anything but the $10 you spent. Although it's common sense that any weight loss plan should include a healthy, reduced calorie diet, but there ARE DVDs that will help you shed some pounds just by exercising. I was already eating healthy, but wanted to lose a few pounds. I didn't need to change much about my eating habits, but working out helped me lose 12 pounds. Below I will list some titles that will REALLY help you lose weight...
