Several years ago, I purchased Body Wisdom Media's Yoga for Athletes to complement and round out my fitness routine. Unfortunately, I did not use the video often as I spent significantly more time running and visiting the gym for my workouts. Two years ago, I came down with a dibilating knee condition that would relapse after spending many months in physical therapy. As a result of my condition, I purchased expensive orthotics and spent most of the past two years in physical therapy after injuries caused by a leg length discrepancy and tight hip joints once again flared up. In September, I decided to start using the DVD every day as a fitness alternative. I have noticed that my flexibility in my hipflexors has already improved and upon a recent revisit to my orthopedic specialst, the leg length discrepancy has disappeared. Short of continuing to visit the physical therapist, I do not see of any other method for keeping my hips and knees stable and strong. I encourage others to give this DVD a few weeks of consistent use to resolve muscle and joint tightness. I can't wait to get back on the road and use these workouts after my runs to remain loose and feeling good.
