    Highly Recommended

This film was brilliantly acted and was so real that I found myself totally absorbed. This film is one of my top 10 favorites of all time. The characters manage to almost pull you into the screen and you will find yourself caring deeply for them. This film is a little bit different from most Nazi era films and tells the story from a different angle of what it was like during that terrible time. I would recommed this film very highly.

A Beautiful Epic In A Rural Village

It is a wonderful tale of life under harsh Nazi rule where seemingly simple rural people help and protect each other to survive obscene intrusion. WWII over, a Communist rabble army invades the town and causes unblievable harm after the townfolk opened their arms to them, praising them as Liberators. The actors are seen as though a hidden camera is recording the daily movements of real people - a small masterpiece. A story of great sacrifice, friendship, love and triumph over hardship.
