    What a terrific movie

Even though it was part truth, part fiction, it's still taken from a true story: The Los Angeles riots of the 1940's. I was more mesmerized by Edward James Olmos' performance in the role of the mythical "Pachuco"...What a performance! This role made him a star. It has action, drama, romance and of course, music! I will enjoy this DVD for years to come.

Great performance by Edward James Olmos!

This was a true story. I remember my father spoke of it when I was a child. I think this was one of Olmos' first appearances. I saw it at the movie theatre when it came out. It's a great addtion to your movie library. Enjoy it..
