    This is a goodie.....

This has been one of the best mystery/whodunit books I've read in a while. It most certainly captured the mystery element and keeps the readers engaged. A definite page turner, the characters are very well developed and the story line is very detailed. This book will definitely have you trying to guess from the very beginning. This is a great beginning to what promises to be a wonderful series!

FYI: I gave it only four stars instead of five because there are a few grammatical errors and those tend to take focus away from the story, aside from that, this author a splendid job with this book!

    100 page, free prequal

This a 100 page free, prequal. There are two other books, each costing $2.99. The two other books only have about 160 pages each. The prequal and book one do not have a conclusion. None are very well edited and the third installment is the worst edited of them all. As with all murder mysteries, there is violence, but not a lot of guts and gore. I started out liking Tess, but as the stories commenced, she slept with every man with in range, thought she was in love with all of them, turned out to be a very poor police officer and was extremely needy and whiny. She listened to no one, did what she wanted, and spent too much time time crying and feeling sorry for herself. A lot of the main characters were written out of the books. It seems as if the author did not know how to conclude, so it was sayonara, so she would not have to deal with them anymore. I liked the prequal but with each subsequent book, the story line weakened. Contains serial killing of women, rape, torture, stalking, many so called romances, no religion, or cursing. What I liked least about this series was some scenes were written about and or repeated over and over again. I wish I had stopped after the prequal. The closer I got to the conclusion, the more inane the plot became. For adults.

    Good

Very good thriller. Thought i had the killer picked out, then i didnt, then i did, then i didnt...this author really knew how to throw the kinks into the story. A real thrill ride.

    Good detective novel

Some reviews say book 2 is not on nook but 2 an 3 are both listed but look it up by putting the hourglass killer series in the search. The book is good there are some mistakes missed during editing but it doesn't take from the story.

    Hello

A story of abuse, rape, and murder, and a female detective involved and not cooperating in her care. She is still pining and hurt about a break-up ten years later, maybe there was more than just a break-up and the author will reveal all in future tomes. For supposedly being a professional police person, this detective should be on medical leave.
