Overview

The killing just won't stop as a ruthless psychopath revisits his greatest obsession—but this time, a Richmond, Virginia homicide detective is determined to stop him in his bloody tracks. . .

An aspiring artist. A high-school senior. A stripper. Three missing women with only one thing in common—wealthy Craig Thornton knew them all. For that, they paid the ultimate price.

When Craig's widow, Adrianna, begins to receive cards and flowers from her late husband, she assumes it's someone's cruel joke. Then grisly remains are found on the Thornton estate. Detective Gage Hudson believes the bodies are linked to Craig. But the biggest shocks are yet to come. A psychopath has resumed his work, each death a prelude to his most cherished target. The only way to stop him is to uncover a family's dark past—and a twisted love someone will kill for, again and again. . .

"A twisted tale. . .I couldn't put it down!" —Lisa Jackson

Mary Burton is showing true style and panache for the mystery/suspense/romance genre... Keep it up and Mary Higgins Clark will need to take a lesson or two....

Most stories from this author....have been a good read.,..I have read 5 books this being the fifth if them...but also...the 2nd one I have had a really hard time...getting into it..seems very slow pace...getting started...don't care for that kinda of read...struggle through most of the book and all the actions at the end.....I don't know..... I'm in the first couple chapters only....but so far.this has been rough to keep interested in the story..definitely would not b a suggestion if u r just starting with this author .....C.R .

Like any other book that Mary Burton writes, this is a thriller that keeps you reading. Even though the plot that has a framework equal to her other thrillers, there is enough variation and diversity to read each book again as if totally new. This book is for people who are avid readers of detective novels. Yes I would recommend this book for club discussions.

This book was great. It reminded me of all the reasons I love Mary Burton. I started reading and was immediately drawn into the story of Adrianna Barrington and couldn't wait to see how Ms. Burton was going to resolve the story. She is an incredible talent and I love to read her novels. I love her characters and who storytelling ability.
