Dylan & the Dead based on 0 ratings. 6 reviews.
This is a great album for any music-fan. Dylan combines his folk style with the Dead's improvisational style, creating an excellent sound. If you enjoy live music you'll like this. All in all this is a great show that can never be repeated.
This is the meeting in the same orbit of the two giant planets of the two neighbor solar systems, more than twenty years later following their own ''big bang'' [ Maybe such an event, it was beyond daydreaming then ]. Each song in this beautiful/dark/exciting/gloomy ''team work'', gains a brand-new identity thanks to Mr.Bob Dylan's ''vertiginous/peaceful/elegiac'' singing and The Grateful Dead's unique ''volatile-fragile'' sound. Of course, this album is not a collection of the best ''alive moments'' of both immense artists but it is an ''historical must'' for all the ''Dylan & The Dead'' fans for sure.
Dylans folkness+ The deads rockingness=great music!!
If your a Dylan or Dead fan, this is a must. If, like me your fan of both, then this is like a match made in heaven. Everytime the disk is over I wish i could go and grab the second, third or fourth. I could only hope that they release more from the Dylan and Dead collection, and I'm sure after listening you'll feel the same.
An interesting yet, suttle performance. I'm sure that it was fun for both groups, and they gave the audience a run for their money. Something seemed missing, but both groups played good together.
Some of the performances here are wonderful, some stink, and since there are only 7 songs here, its more of a Fan album than one you will enjoy listening to.
