Purpose: It is intended as a comprehensive reference in clinical echocardiography.
Audience: The target audience consists of trainees and clinicians who have an interest in clinical echocardiography and/or those individuals preparing for EAE certification.
Features: The book covers an impressive array of topics, ranging from basic ultrasonographic principles to specific clinical applications such as echocardiographic imaging in the emergency room. It is well written, current, and appropriately illustrated with high-quality color images. The accompanying DVD provides over 100 videos that reinforce the material presented in the text. Access to a website that contains practice questions and searchable text is also provided.
Assessment: This will be a valuable resource for the study of clinical echocardiography. It will be of particular benefit to those individuals wishing to adhere to the curriculum endorsed by the European Association of Echocardiography.
