Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Good things do come in small packages, and this book's 160 pages will fit in your pocket. But it is not small when it comes to information. Charts, diagrams, maps and photographs in full color and text all combine to provide a wealth of material about the earth. There is even a glossary and index.

Ever child and teacher should have this book.

I always wondered about these information. Now there is actually a book in a nutshell that allows you to slip it in your pocket and get drunk with knowledge. I love this book so much I decide to get at least a dozen of the other titles. Most fascinating of all, I sit with any kid on the bus or train and test their knowledge. What they don't know I teach them from the book. Most of them do know a thing or two. The one to five year old, I usually break down the facts into a simpler fashion. Whether they understand or not, I think something will be etched in their memory. As an adult of forty years old, it fills the black hole of things I had little knowledge of. Thank you -- and the kids thank you too. Oh! How did I come by this book? -- My eight year old neighbor lent it to me. We always exchange books -- I help to tutor her sometimes; she thanks you as well. Her name is Candice Miller, a brilliant wonderful human being, who attends Tilden High School in Brooklyn.
