Scott Cunningham never ceases to amaze me with his impeccable writing, and this book was no different. He provides so much information about using very simple, natural magick, including candle magick, sea magick, earth magick, etc., and he provides it in a poetic voice that made this book a true pleasure to read. This the perfect book for us Pagans who are looking to get back in touch with nature and put some Earth back into our Earth religion.

Earth Power is a book about the magick of the people, common folk magick. Overall, i really liked this book. In its broadest sense, Earth Power is a collection of spells used through out the ages up till the modern times. Done with simple things like stones, wood, and leafs, you can invoke the powers of nature. In addition, you learn about a sort of hierarchy of natural magick. For example, water magick has the magicks of storm and fog under it and you will learn to do magick using these elements. In a more narowed sense, you gain a good idea of the sub elemental magicks like sea, knots, and mirror. 5 stars just for the diversity of information alone

I usually enjoy Scott Cunningham's books and this book was no exception. This book was a very easy read and offered many practical and very simple suggestions on how to utilize Earth Power. Magick doesn't have to be difficult and Mr. Cunningham does an excellent job at getting this message across to his readers by (again) offering practical workings that one can do with out a lot of fuss and circumstance. This book is certainly a beginners' (101) and possible and intermediate (102) book for those fairly new to being on a magickal path. I will certainly be keeping this book in my library... if for nothing else but to help me remember that magick doesn't have to be difficult or overtly ritualized. Sometimes simple does it best.

A great start - I love this book. It's easy to understand and easy to refer back to certian pages or chapters without feeling lost. Great references in the back as well. I can't wait to pick up another one of Scott's books!

This is the second book I read on wicca/paganism and I think you should have some knowledge on wicca prior to reading this book, but still it is wonderfully illustrated, it is very descriptive. Very good descriptions about the elements and what they mean in magick. Lots of spells, that you could do anywhere as long as you have some rocks, trees, water, air, dirt, or anything natrual for that matter. I am a person who rarely reads books, but when I do its because I know that they are good. I highly reccomend you read this book.
