Meet the Author

Per Martinsen AKA Tied Revolverman is an artist, electronic musician, dj and self-published author from Tromsø, Northern Norway. He has produced and released a vast pool of music over the last 20 years, including electronic dance tracks under his pseudonym Mental Overdrive, chilled-out psy-folk with the duo Illumination/Chilluminati and electropop with the duo Frost. In addition he has scored films, composed for art installations and been comissioned to remix a long list of other artist's work.

Simultaneous to pursuing his music career he has worked with many different mediums, including visual art, photography, building installations and working with text through various channels. He is very fond of the Internet and technology in general. His latest project combines most of these rather schizophrenic activities into 'transmedia novel' 'Earthbound - Surfing the Apocalypse'.

    I Also Recommend:

    Fascinating read!

I must admit I nearly passed on this one due to the sparse description and 'home-brew' artwork. I'm certainly glad I decided to take a look after all as it is an excellent read. Once you get into the story it is a intriguing read; in some ways like the myth/conspiracy books that have popped up as a cottage industry in the past decade or so, but without the cheap by-the-numbers car chases and protagonists with snazzy names and shadowy, tortured pasts working for the n-th variation of some semi-official government organization with a contrived acronym.

It appears to be the author's first book, and at times it could have done with some stricter editing, but at the end of the day it is a great read.
