About the Author

Gabe Meeker earned a B.A. in Chemistry and a Doctorate in Biology. She taught Chemistry and Biology for a community college, worked in biotechnology research, and joined Lockheed-Martin, a NASA contractor, to develop biological habitats for the International Space Station. When Gabe was 8 years old, someone gave her a chemistry set. She fell in love with Chemistry, avidly completing every task in the guide book. She loved sharing her knowledge with children through volunteering with various youth groups, and demonstrating science concepts in school classrooms. Gabe raised two children and has two grandchildren.
