    Excellent book!

In the absence of the functional Church, it is difficult for the serious Christian to get the nurturing (edification) he/she needs. Today's Christian books are such fluff. That's why it's necessary to seek out mature brothers in the faith (even though they have passed on), those who worshipped the Lord in Spirit and in truth. In the first 9 chapters, Pember ties together Old Testament and New Testament references that reveal a completely scriptural - but different view of the 6 days of earth's restoration (and prehistory) from what is taught by today's 'creation scientists'. He also shows how science - which serves God, is in absolute harmony with the Bible (although evolutionists reinterpret and distort it). I know of only one site that mirrors Pembers observations, perfecttruth. I only wish the publishers of the book had separated it into two books, a Genesis Bible study (chaps. 1-9), and a spiritual warfare book (chaps. 10-16). These two themes are very different, but most readers will enjoy the first 9 chapters.
