Golden Age artist Kay Nielsen, a master of fantasy, lavished the text with 25 intricately detailed color and numerous black-and-white images that glow with his phantasmagorical style. One can go to a rare book seller and pay big bucks for a copy of the original, but why? This reproduction is essentially identical to the ca. 1920 translation. The cover is durable, the pages are clean and of high quality paper; most important of all, the famous illustrations of Kay Nielsen are excellent. The stories themselves are fine, but best thought of as a bonus to the book itself.
