Easter eggs hold special surprises in this fantastic pop-up book from David Carter. With colorful eggs and cute critters on every page, this Easter book is sure to please the masses.
Children's Literature
This is a hand-size treat for Easter, spring or any time. Carter asks a question on one side of each double-page that is answered inside a different pop-up egg on the other side, where there are a wide assortment of amusing bugs similar to those in other Carter pop-ups. Here we can count shiny silver Raindrop Bugs, actually hear "A busy brown Buzzing Bug" as we open a golden egg, feel "A fluffy yellow Chick-Chick Bug," and so on, to the full Easter basket at the end. 2001, Little Simon/Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing, $9.99. Ages 3 to 6. Reviewer: Ken Marantz and Sylvia Marantz

This is a colorful, interactive book with decorated easter eggs that open to reveal orginally named easter bugs and characters. The child unfolds the egg to see the bug underneath and at the end a basket with all of the bugs unfolds. My daughter loves it and we have read it often.

I purchased this book because I found the Halloween Bug book on clearance the year earlier and my boys loved it. So when I saw this Easter one there was no hesitation I immediately purchased the book brought it home and to no surprise the boys enjoyed this one as much as the Halloween one. I am looking forward to having one for each Holiday.

Although the age range for this book is 4-8, my 1 year old smiles with delight every single time we read it together. He often picks up the book on his own to bring it to me to read. A great Easter basket gift!
