Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
Easter's on its way (April 16)! And baskets full of books will help youngsters celebrate, from board books to titles starring favorite characters. The egg-shaped board book Easter Fun by Michelle Knudsen, illus. by Tom Starace, follows one family from holiday preparations-gathering flowers, dressing up a chocolate bunny, dying eggs-through to the famous Easter egg hunt. Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.
Children's Literature
Easter Fun does not present anything religious about the holiday. It focuses on springtime, getting candy in the shape of a chocolate bunny, and painted and dyed Easter eggs. The kids are having fun, but the significance of the symbols and the reason for celebrating will have to be learned elsewhere. The shiny foil cover is attractive and the book has an oval shape just like an Easter egg. It will make a nice gift tucked into an Easter basket. 2006, Little Simon/Simon & Schuster, Ages 6 mo. to 3.
