In the early 1940s, a loving father crafted a small, blue, wooden train engine for his son, Christopher. The stories that The Reverend W. Awdry made up to accompany this wonderful toy were first published in 1945. He continued to create new adventures and characters until 1972 when he retired from writing. He died in 1997 at age 85.

This was the first Easter book I had bought for my son age 3. He really enjoys the Thomas and Friends books/toys so I new this would be a hit. At this age I have been buying holiday books that get him into the spirit, and it has really made him understand once the holiday came. We still have to read it once and a while so it's not just for Easter.
It is a cute Easter book
If your child loves the Thomas and Friends series, he/she will love these books. They are tons of fun to read with your child together. I know that these will be wonderful books when he/she begins reading.
