This introduction to Eastern Philosophy, narrated by Alice (in Wonderland) and the Hookah-smoking Caterpillar is fun and intelligently written. Though I have a background in the study of religions, I found someting I did not know in amlost every section. Powell's descriptive passages are also quite nice. Powell, also the author of Derrida for Beginners as well as Postmodernism for Beginners, brings to to all his work the ability to clarify abstruse subjects in a humorous way.
